Successful Event kicks off fundraising for All Saints’ organ restoration
This event, organised by Philip and Judith Kinsman in aid of the restoration of the church’s valuable Walker organ. on the model of the
popular BBCTV Antiques Roadshow. Local people were invited to bring any of their possessions they felt would be of interest because
of a story behind their acquisition, their age, their quality, for Toby Pinn of Clevedon Auctions, to look at and talk about. Toby’s style of
presentation was most attractive, and he certainly gave a thorough examination of every item - well illustrating the old adage - “I collect,
therefore I am.”
Added attractions were a ploughman’s lunch-type provision - local cheeses and fruit - prepared by All Saints’ Social Committee, and 2
items from the church’s chained library of ancient books.
Altogether, the evening raised over £800.
