A personal tribute from a Redhill resident Four and a half years ago Christ Church and the village of Redhill welcomed a new Priest-in-charge, Liz burst upon the village with a great enthusiasm for everything both social and spiritual. The Parsonage became a place of welcome for everyone, and parish meetings took on a whole new aspect as her sense of humour and generosity became renowned and recognised by all. The Parsonage garden was her great interest and in no time blossomed under her hand, and fundraising events and barbecues were soon under way on the back lawn. As you might imagine, officials of Wessex Water were given a hard time when they decided they needed to dig it up for sewer work, but Liz made very sure it was properly reinstated. Her interests in the village were legion and she became involved in the Redhill painting group and Cruelly, Liz was taken from us at the end of February, and this has been a sad blow to everyone who Liz |
