RJK Design Ltd is a company drawing on the talents of two local people, Julie Marshall and Richard Kingcott.
Julie, who took a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art in Context, is an artist well known in the area for Junior Drama Workshops and artworks created from many different media. She has carried out work for a variety of clients, ranging from Asda, British Transport Police etc through to private individuals. Projects include Safety Zone 2000 and themed painted works for private clients.
Richard, who gained an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath, comes from a predominantly automotive background, specialising in brake and suspension design. Customers have included Prodrive, Ultima, Ascari and AMG (Mercedes). Projects have included designing components or systems for Rolls Royce and Jaguar Cars.
The company aims to continue to develop the areas of expertise of both Julie and Richard, but also to start to blur the distinction between art and engineering. Thoughts for the future may include unique furniture design, utilising metals, and commissioned art works.... but who knows?
