... and although Winthrop and Murdock understand why she has a headaches, her failure to persuade Stirling gives her a pain in the neck, so he turns his 'medical' attention to the recumbent Miss Bourne ...
   
... leaving Deakin unconvinced by his diagnosis
   
 Winthrop advises Deakin not to interfere ...  ... as Julia Price swears she can hear a train coming ...
 
... not to mention seeing the dead porter .. which leaves the Murdocks wondering how to get out of here
 
   
They don't get much help from Deakin, and the train's arrival spurs Julia to hurl a brick through the window ..
 





 ... and Deakin can only stand and stare - and contemplate the end of Act 2
