Wrington PARISH COUNCIL Planning Minutes |
Minutes of a Meeting of the Planning Committee of Wrington Parish Council held in the John Locke room on Tuesday 27th September 2005
The Chairman opened the Meeting at 18.00 hours. The Minutes of the Meeting held on 6th September 2005 were adopted. Matters arising. Plough Inn- the need for a public inquiry was set aside. North Somerset Planning Committee Minutes The Clerk mentioned that the Chair of a meeting may include a non-agenda item of business if deemed to be an urgent matter and would cause harm to the public interest if left until the next meeting. Hailstones Farm- going to appeal against refusal for change of use from agricultural land to car parking facility for users of BIA. Planning Applications For planning applications and comments see attached sheet. 2) North Somerset Replacement Local Plan.2 letters received covering objections raised in the consultation period. WR/0075 relates to a change made at the Second deposit stage to remove Volume 3 from the main plan document (the Written Statement). Volume 3 is the “Supporting Information”. The objection was made to the principle of separation since this could allow changes to the relevant “information” outside of the plan process. It is arguable whether the information included in Vol.3 needs this protection, although the written statement needs to be read alongside vol. 3. As the deadline for comments has passed no detailed response required merely an acknowledgement with the comment that the objection is maintained. WR/0099. The Council commented on the wording of para. 9.35 at the Second Deposit stage and the suggested revision is included in the recommended text shown in WR/0099. An acknowledgement supporting the NSC proposal detailed in para. 2 of the written response is all that is required. 3) Kissing gates Alburys/Ladywell. Contractors arrived on site to be confronted by residents as the proposed work would not enable them to get pushchairs etc. along the footpath. As the initial discussion about this work was some 2 years ago it was agreed that the Clerk should confirm an arrangement with Mr. Leonard of NSC to meet on site on Wednesday 28th September at 14.30 hours to reassess the situation. 4) Apricot Cottage. The new light is causing problems with a neighbour and the Clerk has arranged with Connect South West to have a discreet shade fitted to overcome. 5) Greater Bristol Strategic Transport Study. The latest consultation document is now available on www.gbsts.com There being no other business the meeting was declared closed at 19.10 hours. |
