In 2001, Remembrance Day fell on Sunday, 11th November.
The parade of members of the Royal British Legion, and the local Scouts and Guides groups formed up as usual in Broad Street
before marching to All Saints' for the service of remembrance at 3pm.
An opportunity for all organisations to receive a final briefing.
The service was conducted by the Rector, Rev Noel Hector and the URC Minister, Rev Stephen Newell
After the placing of wreath and poppies by the RBL members at the War Memorial, others followed suit, and the parade dispersed.
