Everything has to be proof-read, for corrections and spelling mistakes; it's a specialised job, which we do here ....
... sometimes we get copy which is illegible, scribbled on a piece of paper.

All theatre work is dated, and it's amazing how often they put the wrong date for opening night, Monday 1st rather than Monday 2nd ...

... mistakes are the customer's responsibility if they've OK'ed the proof, but life doesn't always work that way.

The problem in recent years has been the lack of young people coming forward as apprentices to be master printers ...

... it's become a very cut-price, cut-throat business. We've made tremendous strides in the last 18 months with our investment. We've not had a quiet spell since.

August is quieter because of the theatres, but from now on there'll be a build-up towards Christmas and the pantos. The Playhouse in Weston, for example, we do a lot of Corporation work.
