Stay Active Indoors This Season
Now that the autumn weather has arrived and it’s not so pleasant to venture outdoors, you may be finding it difficult to maintain your usual level of physical activity and exercise. If so, why not join us and experience our seated exercise class held in the Memorial Hall?
Session Times and Details
We offer two hourly sessions every Wednesday afternoon: the first runs from 14:00 to 15:00, and the second from 15:15 to 16:15. These sessions are delivered under the guidance of our instructor, Lesley, and supported by Age UK.
What to Expect
Although you might think seated exercise sounds like a contradiction in terms, rest assured that every joint will be fully engaged, and you’ll leave knowing you’ve had a thorough workout. One of the highlights of our sessions is the abundance of laughter and fun, sometimes involving rather silly activities – all within a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Who Can Join?
The class is open to both men and women over the age of sixty. Each hourly session costs £4.00, and exercises are tailored to suit individual needs, ensuring you only participate in activities that feel right for you.
Benefits
Many participants have noticed improvements in mobility, grip strength, movement, and hand-eye coordination after just a few sessions.
How to Join
We encourage you to come and give it a try – join our happy group and see the difference for yourself! For more information, contact Age UK to apply online or ring our instructor, Lesley McManus, on 07956 164775. Alternatively, feel free simply to drop by the Memorial Hall on a Wednesday afternoon.
