Starting 10th March, Congresbury precinct car park will have a 15 minute free parking period for customers. A private parking firm will be managing the car park and charges apply after 15 mins. Ticknells have posted on the Congresbury site with full details.

  1. I think the fifteen-minute limit on parking is DISGUSTING! It would take that long to queue for fish and chips or sometimes in the bakery or post office. I fear the footfall for the precinct will fall below a reasonable level for vendors to keep their businesses going. ANDhow do we know, when we park, how long we will be? Do we then need to rush out and pay for parking? It’s all very, very inconvenient and needs to be addressed.

  2. I popped into Tincknells today for a quick shop, bought just what i went for as i didn’t want to over stay the 15 min, i would normally have wandered round the shop and bought other items. Also wanted a bit of shopping but rather than pay to park went to Touts garage at Langford on the way home where it
    s Free to park.
Think this was a money grabbing idea too far in my humble opinion, wont be going back any time soon.

  3. I got a parking fine for parking in there, I had a blue badge displayed, but I have to pay £60, because disability drivers aren’t free,

So it makes it very different, get out of the car walk over to machine or pay on line,

I feel sorry for everyone, disabled or not.

This is going to determine people from parking there.
